Thank you to everyone who attended one of the Wednesday evening info and prayer sessions. We hope that you found them informative and encouraging. Please continue to pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit as we move forward.
The elders and staff reviewed all of the notes from the sessions. There are some “easy” things that we are going to start doing/change in the next few weeks, and there are some “harder” things that we are going to work toward over the fall season. Stay tuned!
We are going to put together a job description for a minister in September. This will be a part-time contract position for 6-12 months. We are aware that both “part-time” and “contract” may limit the interest we receive in the job, but we are under legal obligations not to fill the senior pastor position with a permanent replacement for now.
The current plan is to form a Pastoral Search Committee from the congregation in October and see where the Lord leads.
Small groups, youth group, and other programs are starting up over the next few weeks. Look for information on the church Facebook page. If you would like to get plugged in to a group, contact Ian Morse at imorse@gmail.com. All of these programs and events will soon be available on a church calendar.
We are starting a 5-week sermon series on Galatians on Sept. 10. We will be covering the basics of grace and peace. This is a good one to invite friends to!
