The groundwork for a minister search is being laid. We have reviewed the feedback from the August info and prayer sessions. We believe that the role that we need to fill is a “Pastoral Care” minister who would consistently be at the front of the church on Sundays, but not necessarily be preaching every week. After reviewing the budget, the current plan is to offer a 24 hour/week position for six months to start. Details are still being worked out, but the congregation will be informed as soon as it is appropriate.
Small groups are starting up! We currently have groups meeting on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Megan is doing a fantastic job keeping the calendar updated. Our annual “Trunk or Treat” event is on Oct 28 at 6:30pm at the church. Everyone is welcome, and encouraged to come out whether you have kids of your own or not. Dress up if you want to, bring treats to share, and have a visit.
The before and after school care program is not running this season.
We would like to get involved in existing outreach programs. Maybe starting with one event per quarter. If you have an idea or a cause that makes you excited (Santa’s Angels, etc), let us know! Even better if you would help organise the event.
